Half of asthmatics do not control their disease
There is an easy way to improve the control of the disease of one out of every tow patients: inhalers are easy to use and they should be taken in a regular basis to control the disease.
Asthma affects some 4.5 million spaniards and is more frequent in children than in adults. Almost half of them show persistent asthma y therefore daily controller medication is needed.

Benefits of using the medication are obvious: the quality of life increases and emergency and hospital care is less used.
Moreover, medical expenses are much lower because of the less emergency and hospital stay requeriments, as well as less working or school days loss.
In an article of the Annals de Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, scientific publication of theAmericanCollegeof Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) a study shows that half of the asthmatics did not use their controller medication on a regular basis. Most of them suffered persistent asthma.
