What do children (and their parents) think on their food allergies
También en / Also in Spanish
Kids and their parents may see in a different way how food allergy impair their quality of life.
In a recent study, the 8-to-12-years-old kids point of view has been compared with their parents perspective, using the Food Allergy Quality of Life Questionnaire

Parents notice less impact on the quality of life (because of the food allergy) than their children. It is not surprinsing to see that correlation between parents and kids is weak (quite frequent in everyday) due to several reasons (style of answers, ideas, perceptions).
The important point of view is to notice these real differences in both perspectives highlighting that parents underestimate the quality of life of their kids. From eight and older kids can report very accurately on their quality of life, being their parents point of view an additional information.
